Job maintains his Integrity
Job took up his discourse and addressed the friends collectively but refused to agree that they were right
He maintained that his circumstance was not from unrenounced sin that he holds his integrity and look for vindication in life
He continued: As long as my breath is in me and God's breath is in my nostrils my lips will not speak falsehood nor my tongue utter deceit
I will never affirm that you are right till I die I will maintain my integrity that is deep within me
I will cling to my righteousness and not let it go my conscience will not accuse me in all my days of entirety
Let my enemy be as the wicked and my opponent as the unjust accounted as the unrighteous
For what is the hope of the godless when God cuts him off when God takes away his life - the Almighty
Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him will he take delight in the Almighty will he call upon God at all times
I will teach you concerning the hand of God what the Almighty has planned all of you have seen this - His power divine
Why do you keep up the empty talk for this is the wicked mans’ lot and heritage and portion from God
The inheritance of the ruthless received from the Almighty even if his children increase they are destined for the sword
And his descendants will never have enough food those who survive him will be buried by the plague and their widows do not weep
Though he piles up silver and heaps up fine clothing like clay he may pile it up but the righteous wear it in sync
And the innocent will divide the silver he builds his house like a moth's cocoon or a shelter set up by a watchman
He lies down wealthy but will do so no more when he opens his eyes it is gone terror overtakes him like a flood ravaged and darkened
A storm wind sweeps him away at night an east wind picks him up and he is gone and carried away
From his place it blasts at him without mercy while he flees from its’ power it claps its hands scoffs at him from his place
If Job's integrity is true with God his friends need to be fearful for they will stand in danger of the judgment they described
These friends have been no comfort and Job refers not just to the wicked's life on earth but to when God takes away his ability to survive
