Bildad's final and few Words
We come to the final words of Job's three friends and the endless account of their position held in their arguments
Which left them no wiser as they argued God's defense that Job's suffering was for sin but Job looked for God his case to present
For His justice seemed to have taken a wrong turn and he wanted God to vindicate him and correct the mistake
Here it sounds like Job was on board with retribution theology his initial response was God gives and He takes away but now that He knows the way that he takes
To imply I turned from the path of evil so why has this tragedy come to me a righteous man who walked in my integrity
So what do we serve God for is it for blessings or heaven or salvation or do we serve at the pleasure of the King Almighty
The friends argued not from their own scrutiny but on what they thought they knew of God and His perspective
It never occurred to them that in their defense of how God operates and their pursuit of Job's guilt may not have been objective
Bildad spoke: Dominion and fear are with God He makes peace in His high heaven can anyone number His army
Does His light not shine on everyone How can a human be justified before God and live in His harmony
How can one born of a woman be pure if even the moon does not shine and the stars are not in His sight pure
In His sight how much less a human who is a maggot a son of man a worm but this is not God's view
Bildad just eluded to Job being just a worm we are to be humble in His sight but we know that we are God's sheep
Even though He is exalted we are His creation His handiwork and His love for us in redemptive blood runs deep
Bildad’s final words were one more attack against Job and how God runs the world in His creation
One can be righteous and suffer grievously Job's friends were no comfort in times of suffering on behalf of God in false representation
